As CES kicks off, someone who follows the progress of Hadoop could well wonder where Hadoop fits—as an enabler of consumer-focused apps, an enhancer of enterprise business intelligence, or both. It is now clear that Hadoop has enabled the growth of Google, Yahoo, Facebook, Zynga, plus an already long and growing list of consumer-oriented app vendors. But what about the enterprise?
