It’s the New Year and it’s time to organize things around home.  Throw out some things that are really not needed anymore.  Also, take some things that are unlikely to be needed but can’t really make a decision to throw away, and put into the attic.  It’s a fairly common exercise but not regularly done.  It just seems the advent of a new year is a trigger to remember to do it.

This is eerily similar to what needs to be done in many IT operations by the storage administrators.  They need to organize their data, delete data that is no longer needed, and archive data….read the rest of the Storage Soup blog.
