Note: Evaluator Group research of Converged Infrastructure has been discontinued. The following Product Brief has been archived and is no longer being maintained for updates as of January 2023.
HPE’s ConvergedSystem 750 combines HPE Synergy 12000 frames or ProLiant Gen10 DL rack servers and HPE storage systems with Arista and HPE or Cisco switches to create a Converged Infrastructure (CI) solution. It is designed to provide a complete infrastructure stack configured for a specific use case, such as database, production applications, cloud computing, data center consolidation, etc.
HPE doesn’t provide “validated designs” as other CI vendors do. Instead, each ConvergedSystem 750 is built to a specific design that’s based on a Master reference architecture, then tested and validated by the manufacturer and deployed by HPE or authorized channel partners. End-to-end support is provided by HPE for the entire solution, hardware and software.
The 750 is an update of the ConvergedSystem 700 series, adding the Synergy 12000 frame as a compute option to the HPE rack-mounted ProLiant server. Each Synergy frame includes compute modules, storage modules, plus the Composer and Image Streamer modules adding “composable” features to this CI solution.
The ConvergedSystem 750 also offers HPE 3PAR and Nimble storage arrays connected through a SAN fabric. These storage systems can be purchased or delivered through HPE GreenLake Flex Capacity, a consumption-based pricing model.
