Hitachi’s Unified Compute Platform (UCP) CI is comprised of Hitachi Servers, Brocade or Cisco switches and Hitachi’s VSP enterprise storage systems. An integrated, rack-level solution, the UCP CI is designed to simplify deployment of enterprise infrastructure by configuring complete systems to support specific use cases on hypervisor and container platforms or bare-metal servers. These use cases include private and hybrid cloud, database, big data analytics, data center consolidation, etc.

UCP CI configurations are created based on hardware certification lists provided by software vendors (RedHat, Oracle, SAP, etc.) and fulfilled by Hitachi or their partners and deployed by Hitachi or authorized channel partners. Hitachi provides end-to-end support (L0 – L3) for the UCP CI hardware components, including the Brocade and Cisco networking components. Software is co- supported by vendor.
