Fujitsu’s ETERNUS DX500 midrange storage arrays continue the Fujitsu line of midrange storage systems which previously were block access only and now have announced file access support as NAS systems. The Fujitsu ETERNUS DX family of storage systems is designed for enterprise and distributed environments requiring high reliability, availability and serviceability features. The ETERNUS DX500 products are sold worldwide via Fujitsu companies and channel partners.

The ETERNUS DX500 differs from the ETERNUS DX600 in the capability to scale in the areas of the number of host and backend ports, the amount of cache, and the number of devices attached.
