Atempo Miria (Atempo Digital Archive or ADA) is a dedicated software solution for archiving digital information stored on any file server. In the spring of 2019, it was renamed Miria for Archiving as the archiving component of the integrated Miria suite for backup, migration, and archiving.
In September 2017, Atempo emerged from ASG Technologies as an independent company. ADA was previously known as ASG Digital Archive.
Miria integrates with a variety of storage solutions, including shared disk, NAS, tape, object storage, and private or public cloud storage. It provides for manual archiving, with a simple drag-and-drop operation to an archive folder, or automated archiving based on criteria set for a policy engine. It has the ability to archive data to multiple targets.
Through the drag-and-drop interface, end-users can archive and retrieve data without IT staff assistance.
Miria has the ability to search metadata based on file properties, custom keywords, or the file’s full text content. Retention rules can be set based on owner or data type, and role-based access.
Both file system and NAS support include leaving a file stub for automated recall. Standard, open non-proprietary protocols are used and the original file structure is maintained.
Miria automatically indexes archived data based on metadata from either file attributes or user/program supplied metadata. Archive data may be searched and retrieved using the indexes metadata.
Administration includes the ability to set access rights and role-based privileges.
Miria now supports versioning.
