Atempo Digital Archive – Product Brief

Last updated May 7th, 2019 for general updates. Concise 4-page overview of Atempo Digital Archive product.

Atempo Digital Archive (ADA) is a dedicated software solution for archiving digital information stored on any file server.

In September, 2017, Atempo emerged from ASG Technologies as an independent company. Atempo Digital Archive was previously known as ASG Digital Archive.

Atempo Digital Archive integrates with a variety of storage solutions, including shared disk, NAS, tape, object storage, and private or public cloud storage. It provides for manual archiving, with a simple drag-and- drop operation to an archive folder, or automated archiving based on criteria set for a policy engine. It has the ability to archive data to multiple targets.

Through the drag-and-drop interface, end-users can archive and retrieve data without IT staff assistance.

ADA has the ability to search metadata based on file properties, custom keywords, or the file’s full text content. Retention rules can be set based on owner or data type, and role-based access.

Both file system and NAS support include leaving a file stub for automated recall. Standard, open non- proprietary protocols are used and the original file structure is maintained.

Atempo Digital Archive automatically indexes archived data based on metadata from either file attributes or user/program supplied metadata. Archive data may be searched and retrieved using the indexes metadata.

Administration includes the ability to set access rights and role-based privileges. ADA now supports versioning.
